About the Event
The Johnny Jackson JR Foundation held its First Annual Basketball Camp for 65 Youth, June 2019, at George Washington Carver Senior High School, Johnny’s beloved Alma mater. And now were BACK!
In addition to basketball techniques, the camp focuses on fundamentals, sportsmanship, physical fitness, teamwork and drills. Daily lunch and snacks are provided. The camp also includes field trips, community service activity, special guest speakers and educational seminars. Campers will have the opportunity to meet industry professionals, and the Championship Game will be officiated by New Orleans Own, National Basketball Association (NBA) Official Mitchell Irving.
The camp will conclud with an Award Ceremony with parents in attendance. State and Local officials will present Trophies and other awards.
